What is First Nations Financial Management Board (FMB) Certification? How does it impact the annual audit of a First Nation? How can the auditor play a role?
These and other questions were answered during the free one hour webcast hosted by the FMB. If you serve First Nations clients in an assurance or advisory role you should attend this session.
The purpose of this webcast is to inform audit service providers of:
- Certification services that the FMB provides to First Nations; and
- Value added activities that could be provided to First Nation clients
The First Nations Financial Management Board is Canada’s only legislated body that develops and publishes Financial Administration Law, Financial Management System, Financial Performance and Local Revenue Financial Reporting Standards for First Nations. The FMB is an Aboriginal institution that provides a suite of financial management tools and capacity development services to First Nations governments seeking to strengthen their fiscal stewardship and accountability regime and develop necessary capacity to meet their expanding fiscal and financial management requirements.
